Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the EU's resolution issued yesterday about blacklisting Houthi militia as one of the groups which have been subjected to sanctions for threatening peace, security and stability in Yemen.
A press release by the Ministry applauded the EU's decision which cited the Houthi militia's terrorist behaviors including attacks on the civilians, infrastructure in Yemen, oppressive policies and atrocities against the civilians, sexual abuse against women activists, child recruitment, fomenting sectarian-racist based violence, randomly spreading landmines, blocking humanitarian aids delivery and assaulting commercial ships in the Red Sea.
The Ministry called for mounting pressures upon the Houthi militia to press for peace and revive political process in Yemen.
