Planning Minister chairs meeting over UNDP strategy

A meeting by the Board of Directors of the UNDP's Country programme document (CPD) was held in the Saudi capital today, headed by Yemen's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badheb.

The meeting discussed the strategy of the UNDP office 2021-2024. During the meeting, the performance of the UN program was evaluated, accountability for activities and results, the wise use of resources, the level of project implementation progress, the strengthening of national ownership and alignment with the government program, which would provide comprehensive guidance in the implementation of the program strategy.

Minister Badheb noted that the participation of the leadership of the Ministry of Planning and representatives of the UNDP in implementing the CDP, and the extent to which this participation affirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the country program document 2021-2024, stressing the commitment to programming projects and supporting the development of their performance, due to the importance of this in playing an important role in providing basic services Implementation of the agenda of recovery and economic stability.
