The Council of Ministers re-welcomed the International Security Council resolution no 2624 issued recently about Yemen which designated Iran-backed Houthi militia a "Terrorist Group", extending weapons embargo, blacklisting the militias' leaders in the UN Sanctions regime in Yemen.

In its session held today in the temporary capital Aden presided over by Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik, the Cabinet described this resolution as a constructive move in the right direction to mount pressures upon the militia to sit-down to negotiate political settlement.

The Cabinet called on all UN Security Council member states, sisterly and friendly countries to comply with the resolution (2624) to curb the military capacities of this Terrorist Group, Iranian support and weapons smuggling that give rise to prolonging the war, worsening the humanitarian crisis.

The Council of Ministers discussed underway arrangements for the Human Response Conference scheduled to be held on the 16th of this month.
