Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia has welcomed the Security Council's resolution, which designated Houthi militia as a terrorist group in addition to expanding ban on sending weapons to Yemen.

The Saudi foreign ministry reaffirmed exerting efforts to reach a political solution to Yemen's crisis, including efforts of the UN envoy to Yemen on the bases of the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism.

Similarly, Bahrain and the UAE welcomed approving a resolution by Security Council blacklisting Houthi militia a " terrorist group," adding them in the list of sanctions and banning them get weapons.

Bahraini and UAE news agencies reported that the Security Council's resolution is an important step will help limiting Houthi militia's aggressive attacks on citizens and infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

The UAE Permanent Representative in the UN Lana Nuseibah said the aim of this resolution is to limit Houthi militia's military abilities, limiting war escalation in Yemen and banning their criminal acts against civil ships and threatening maritime navigation lines and international trade.

She confirmed that the only solution out of Yemen's current crises requires integration of all efforts to reach a political solution for Yemeni people under the UN and in accordance with the three agreed upon references: the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and Security Council's relevant resolutions led by Resolution No.2216.
