Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik received Wednesday Executive Director of World Food Program David Beasley and the accompanying delegation discussing with them coordination between government and the organization for financing the humanitarian response plan in the conference to be held on March under the patronage of the United Nations.
The meeting focused on supporting Yemen's economy as vital issue for tackling the humanitarian crisis and building income sources.
The two parties also discussed implementation of the agreed upon mechanism between the government and the program to ensure arrival of assistances to the needy and taking serious measures to limit their looting by Houthi militia.
Prime Minister reviewed government's efforts to support UN efforts to make the conference of financing humanitarian response plan successful, renewing significance of Yemen partners' support to the economy as soon as possible to alleviate humanitarian suffering.
For his part, the Executive Director of WFP confirmed joint keenness on making the conference successful and efforts of the organization in this field, praising efforts of the government for facilitating the organization's tasks and activities.
