Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

Health minister discusses with WB interventions in Yemen

Minister of Public Health and Population Qasem Buhaibeh discussed Monday with Director of Projects Managements of the World Bank Nichol Serkis interventions of WB in health sector.
Buhaibeh confirmed significance of promoting cooperation between the ministry and the organization as its projects are most vital in health sector and accomplished significant success must become an example to other donors.
He called upon for increasing support provided by the WB to include other bodies and authorities, among them Authority of Al-Thawra Hospital and Khlifa Hospital in Taiz, 22nd of May Hospital in Aden, Kara Hospital in Marib and Ahwar Hospital in Abyan as key hospitals.
Minister Buhaibeh touched upon support and qualifying isolation centers and urgent necessity of establishing specialized center, as well as supporting health central labs and adding other labs in provinces lack such labs.
He stressed significant of WB's contributions in field of building capabilities of health cadre and preparing central training plans in places of providing services, in addition to supporting health cadre of ports and adding them to response teams.
For her part, the director of World Bank's projects confirmed apprehending observations of the health minister.
She reviewed fields of interventions of the World Bank and possible increase of these interventions.
