Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Bin Mubarak expressed appreciation and gratitude to the Kingdom of Sweden for its significant contribution to the efforts aimed to re-establish peace in Yemen.

As he met today here with the Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde on the sideline of Munich Conference on Peace and Security he also voiced thanks for the Swedish government for its substantial contribution to the relief and humanitarian actions.

They discussed the latest developments in amid Houthi militias' continuous military escalation and obstruction to the good offices aimed to make peace.

Bin Mubarak briefed Linde on economic and humanitarian challenges, highlighting the need for international support to bail out the national economy, calling for enhancing the role of the Central Bank of Yemen.

The Swedish Foreign Minister confirmed her country's support for a comprehensive political settlement. She stated that the Sweden government is keen to support Yemen's security, stability, unity and territorial integrity.
