Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ahmad Awadh bin Mubarak discussed Saturday with Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres humanitarian situations and peace process in Yemen.
In the meeting held on the sidelines of the 58th Round of Munich Conference for Peace and Security here, bin Mubarak called for moral position by the UN towards crimes and violations committed by Houthi militia against Yemeni people.
He also called for exerting pressure on Iranian regime to stop its interferences in Yemen's internal affairs and its support to Houthi militia, renewing positive dealing of the government with all UN efforts for ending suffering of Yemeni people.
He reviewed latest developments in Yemen under Houthi militia stubbornness and rejection of all peace efforts, shedding lights on the militia's military escalation in some provinces and banning UN mission of performing its tasks in Hodeida.
He expressed readiness of the government of Yemen to promote cooperation with the UN for reaching inclusive rapprochement making Yemeni people out of its crisis caused by Houthi militia's coup against the state.
For his part, Guterres confirmed commitment of the UN on working on alleviating suffering of Yemeni people, pointing out to significance of mobilization for donor conference to support the Human Response Plan in Yemen to be held on March.
