Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammer al-Eryani voiced thanks and appreciations for the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) for its efforts to help saving the lives of the Yemeni journalists ( Tawfeq al-Mansour, Abdulkhaleq Amran, Akram al-Waleedi and Hartih Humad) who have been enforced disappeared in the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militias' detention centers since June 2015, due to their journalistic work.

He stated that the four unfortunate journalists have been subjected various forms of brutal psychological and corporal torture, forcefully disappeared, denied visits, health care and basic rights, illegal verdicts of execution issued against them on fabricated charges in flagrant breach of all humanitarian and international laws and conventions.

Al-Eryani appealed for all human rights and journalists protection organizations, activists who advocate for press and opinion freedom to contribute to the global campaign to mount pressures upon the terrorist Houthi militias to immediately release the journalists unconditionally.

The Minister also called on the International Community (IC), UN Secretary General and the two envoys of the UN and US to Yemen to press for freeing the poor journalists who are facing death punishment.
