Yemen is participating in the open meeting of the Group of Governmental Experts to discuss the draft Convention of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on the Rights of the Child in Islam in Jeddah, with a delegation headed by the Director of International Organizations and Reports at the Ministry of Human Rights Issam Al Shaeri.

The organization's Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Cultural and Social Affairs, Tariq Ali Bakheet, indicated that the meeting aims to discuss and enrich the draft Convention on the Rights of the Child in Islam with the aim of completing it in preparation for submitting it to the Council of Foreign Ministers for approval.
