Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms (YNRF) reported that Iran-allied Houthi militias blamed for 1134 violations against the civilians included kidnapping, enforced disappearance and torture of the detainees during the time from 1 January, 2021 to 31 December 2021.
The report which the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) familiar with cited 882 cases of kidnapping among them 35 children, 38 women and 92 cases of enforced disappearances among them women, children and 42 cases of torture and mistreatment in the governorates of Sana'a' Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Hodeidah, Almahweat, Rymah, ALjawf, Albaidha, the city of Sana'a, Sa'dah, Hajjah and Amran.
The report stated that there were 18 incidents in which the militiamen used the civilians as human shields, 4 incidents of killing the detainees inside jails, 6 cases of death due to lack of necessary health care in prisons, 3 detainees died of heart attacks.
