Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ahmad bin Mubarak discussed Thursday with Norwegian Envoy to Yemen Kegirsty Trumisdal latest developments in Yemen and future of peace process.

Foreign Minister praised the role of Norway and its positive contribution to help solving Yemen's crisis and regain security and stability of Yemen, as well as efforts it exerts during its membership in Security Council regarding solving the crisis.

He pointed out to dangerous threat posed by Houthi militia not only on Yemen but also on the security and safety of the region, pointing out that Houthi militia's war crimes and threatening security of maritime navigation in the Red Sea represent legal ground to redesignate Houthis a terrorist militia.

He also pointed out that Houthi militia's continuous hinderance of tackling Safir Oil Tanker Issue and endangering maritime environment is considered one of the major crimes must be treated firmly.

For her part, the Norwegian official expressed her country's support to the internationally recognized government and its readiness to contribute in capacity building of the foreign ministry, as well as continuous support to National Woman Plan and Peace and Security.
