The Governor of Taiz, Nabil Shamsan, discussed with the team of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs "OCHA" the humanitarian interventions for the year 2021 AD and the humanitarian and development needs plan for the current year 2022 AD.

During the meeting and in the presence of the directors of the executive offices, the governor praised the humanitarian interventions carried out by international organizations under the supervision and coordination of the OCHA office and its distinguished and active team, and their great role in preparing and implementing the programs and plans of interventions for international partners, and their contributions to alleviating the aggravating human suffering of the people of the governorate as a result of the continuing war and Houthi siege on the densely populated city center.

The governor added that the humanitarian response plan of the OCHA office must serve the interventions, needs and priorities prepared in the governorate plan for the year 2022 AD and market them to international partners to accommodate humanitarian, development and sustainable support that benefit a large segment of the population noting that the local authority worked to facilitate the work of international organizations and programs and open offices for them in the governorate, bringing its number to 24 international organizations since the beginning of the year 2019.
