FM confers with UN's Envoy over developments in Yemen

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Bin Mubarak and the UN's Special Envoy to Yemen Hans Grundberg discussed today in a telephone conversation the latest developments in the Yemeni national arena, military operations and peace prospects.
Bin Mubarak reiterated the government's full commitments to peace option, blaming Houthi rebellious militia for blocking peace efforts, refusing all regional and international good offices and proposals to stop fighting, establishing peace.
He detailed Mr. Grundberg on the deteriorated humanitarian situations and the Yemeni people's suffering, namely the IDPs in the governorate of Marib which has been subjected to Houthi militias' aggressive offense for more than a couple of years which further worsening the IDPs suffering.
The UN envoy restated that a negotiated political settlement is the guarantee for establishing fair and sustainable peace, urging all parties to collaborate to make the peace efforts successful.
