Project launched to support youth empowerment & improve livelihoods

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Dr. Muhammad Al-Zauri, launched a project in the temporary capital Aden today to support the empowerment of young men and women to improve livelihoods in Yemen, funded by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works and the implementation of the Coalition for Benevolence.
The project, which targets the governorates of Aden, Marib, Lahj, Shabwa, Mahra, Hodeidah, Socotra and Hadramout, includes training courses in the areas of electrical wiring, maintenance of mobile phones, refrigeration, air conditioning, hairdressing, sewing, embroidery, pastry making, car and bicycle maintenance, photography and montage.
The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor stressed that empowering young people economically is one of the government’s top priorities for the next phase. He pointed out that the project targets 1,250 cases and 7,500 families. He appreciated the efforts of the Ksrelief in adopting this project and development projects and supporting economic recovery efforts in the country.
