NCIAVHR investigates into 1237 incidents of killings, injuries in 2021

National Committee for Investigating Alleged Violations of Human Rights (NCIAVHR) reported that it conducted investigations into 1237 incidents of violations during the time from January to December 2021 included killings and injuries.

In a press release about its actions in 2021 it stated that it had investigated into 2842 incidents of violations occurred in different Yemeni governorates and there were 4096 victims of male and females of different ages.

The NCIAVHR reported 1237 victims included killings and injuring as a result of attacks against civilians by the Houthi militiamen. There were 403 peoples killed among of them 30 women and 48 children, while 768 persons wounded among of them 85 women and 167 children.

The press release stated that there were 296 victims of landmines and explosive devices among of them 17 women and 35 children. The arbitrary arrests, enforced disappearance and torture incidents counted 1158.

There were 23 attacks against religious and historical sites, 15 attacks against medical teams and facilities, 580 public and privates buildings were destroyed, included 17 schools and 122 incidents of child recruitment.

The NCIAVHR reported 60 incidents of bombing houses, displacing 106 cases and 69 cases of killing outside the law.
