The General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers has strongly condemned and categorically denounced the terrorist operation carried out by Houthi militia against the Cargo Ship "Rawabi" which carries out the Flag of the United Arab Emirates, as the militiamen exercising marine piracy and hijacking the ship.

The General Secretariat issued a press release in which it said" We condemn this criminal action which constitutes a war-crime and dangerous threat to maritime free navigation and global trade in Bab el-Mandeb Strait southern the Red Sea, it is also flagrant violation of the humanitarian international law, the UN agreements of the Seas, above all the UN treaty of the Seas Law of 1982, and the UN agreement on fighting of organized crime of 2000.

The General Secretary of Arab Interior Ministers added "We do assert that it is very important to take firm stances against these militias' hostile practices which proved repeatedly that it is seeking to destabilize security and stability in this vitally important region of the world, threatens the international trade and economy movement".
