Human Rights Ministry condemns Houthi attack on a market in Marib
[26/12/2021 03:51]
Aden - Saba
The Ministry of Legal Affairs and Human Rights condemned the terrorist Houthi militia’s targeting on Saturday of a popular market in Harib Junction, Ma’rib Governorate, with a ballistic missile, which resulted in 3 deaths, including a 14-year-old child, and the injury of eight, including a three-year-old child, who is currently under intensive care.

In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the ministry confirmed that the militia's continued targeting of defenseless civilians and densely populated neighborhoods for nearly seven years is irrefutable evidence that the terrorist militia has not and will not stop practicing its favorite hobby, and that there are other victims who will fall. In the future.

The statement indicated that the series of grave crimes directed against civilians among our people reminds us of the complicity of international organisations and institutions concerned with the protection of human rights in the world, which have failed and are still failing to fulfill their duty towards civilians by taking measures that would stop or limit Houthi violations. It said that the

world that in shameful silence keeps watching the terrorist Houthi militia as it sheds innocent blood is the same world that exercises the harshest penalties against other militias and groups in different regions of the world, which means that it practices the most blatant forms of double-standardism in the enforcement of international laws and agreements.
