Eryani: The Iranian regime seeks to turn Yemen into a hotbed for terrorist activities
[24/12/2021 02:08]
Riyadh - Saba
The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, said that the announcement of the Arab Coalition to back the legitimacy to destroy a booby-trapped boat before carrying out a terrorist attack, confirms the continued attempts of the Houthi militia, at the behest, planning and arming of Iran, to carry out terrorist attacks to threaten the security of commercial ships and the safety of international shipping lines in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab.

He explained that the Houthi militia's repeated attempts to attack commercial ships and oil tankers from the ports of Hodeidah, and the method of carrying out these operations through remote-controlled booby-trapped boats, reveal an organized work bearing the hallmarks of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, targeting trade and energy security and threatening international interests.

Al-Eryani indicated that the Yemeni people are paying a heavy price for these terrorist acts, which are fueled by the Tehran regime as part of its efforts to tarnish Yemen’s reputation in front of the world, separate it from its Gulf neighborhood and its Arab surroundings, and turn Yemeni lands into a hotbed of terrorist activities, spreading chaos and violence and threatening international interests, security and regional and international peace.

Al-Eryani praised the efforts made by the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to secure the movement of global trade in one of the most important international corridors, which culminated in thwarting (99) Houthi terrorist attacks using booby-trapped boats, in addition to destroying the sea mines randomly planted by the militia.

Al-Eryani called on the international community, the United Nations and the permanent members of the Security Council to carry out their legal responsibilities in confronting terrorist activities, maintaining regional and international security and peace, and working to classify the Houthi militia as a “terrorist organization” and to prosecute its leaders in international courts as “war criminals.”
