The Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism and the General Book Authority condemned the Houthi terrorist militiaُs renting of the House of Culture, the General Book Authority and the 22 May hall and its affiliated facilities for commercial purposes, in a blatant exploitation of the these public facilities for personal enrichment of militia's elements.

A statement by the Ministry and the General Book Authority stated, "What the militias did was not just a spontaneous act, but rather a deliberate insult and a deliberate provocation through which the militia wanted to emphasize its hostility to everything related to knowledge, culture, awareness, freedom, art and life, so make the atmosphere suitable for their voice glorifying death, destruction, racism and their reckless dynastic and terrorist discourse. ".

"This crime is not the first to disrupt cultural institutions and exploit them blatantly outside the specialized and national goals and tasks for which the institutions were built," the statement said.

The ministry and the book authority affirmed that they retain the legal and constitutional right to hold those involved in such egregious crimes accountable.
