Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs has welcomed the joint releases by Saudi Arabia with Gulf Countries regarding Yemen during the state shuffle tour for Saud Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain.
The ministry appreciated highly unique brother relations and joint destination linking Yemen with Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries for working on facing joint threats and dangers and to preserve security and stability of the Peninsula Region.
The ministry renewed the government position supporting efforts aiming at realizing peace and regaining state in accordance with the three internationally agreed upon references; the GCC Initiative, the Outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216, in addition to its support to Saudi initiative for ceasefire as significant step to tackle all humanitarian issues, regaining economic order and facing Iran-backed Houthi militia's danger.
It also confirmed its strong condemnation to Houthi militia's continuous shelling civil targets in Saudi Arabia and threatening security of international maritime navigation, renewing its support to any measure taken by Saudi Arabia to protect its territories and people.
The ministry expressed thanks and appreciation to brothers in Gulf countries for their support to Yemen and its internationally recognized government.
