Deputy Minister of Health for the Primary Care Sector, Dr. Ali Al-Walidi, discussed with the directors of the offices of the World Health Organization and UNICEF in Aden the epidemiological situation in Yemen, especially cases of diphtheria, measles and polio, and the possibility of strengthening the work of health immunization to confront it and arranging and preparing for the implementation of the vaccination campaign against polio as soon as the necessary vaccines arrive next week.

The meeting also discussed the necessary precautions to confront any emergency, especially plans to confront the novel coronavirus, start implementing health campaigns against it, and technical measures to receive 800,000 doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine and 400,000 doses of Sinovac.
