Non-Resident Ambassador of Indonesia to the Republic of Yemen Mohammed Johan met here today with a number of Yemeni businessmen in the districts of the Valley and Desert of Hadramout governorate.
The session intended to explore investment opportunities for the Yemeni and Indonesian businessmen.
The discussions touched upon Yemeni-Indonesian historic trade relations dated back hundreds years.
Johan stated that there are as many as 8 million Indonesian families of Hadrami descendants, and there are some 3500 Indonesian students are enrolled in the Islamic educational institutions in Hadramout.
