Yemen's ambassador to Cairo Dr. Muhammad Marem discussed with Egypt's Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs Alaa Moussa the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them, praising Egypt's supportive role for Yemen in various times including the facilitations it provides to the Yemeni community in various fields.
During the meeting, he reviewed the developments of the Yemeni situation on the political and military arenas, the developments of the peace process in light of the continued intransigence of the Houthi coup militias and their rejection of all peace efforts and initiatives, their continued military escalation on various fronts, and the humanitarian crisis that Yemen is experiencing as a result of the coup and militia's non-stopping violence.
He touched on the role of the Iranian regime in fueling the war and thwarting the international efforts and steps aimed at establishing peace, referring to what was stated in the report of the Security Council's Panel of Experts on Yemen, which clarified the Iranian regime's support for the Houthi coup militias.
