The Minister of Water and Environment, Eng. Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, discussed today with his Palestinian counterpart, Eng.
Mazen Ghoneim, cooperation between the two countries in the field of developing the water sector.
The meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the Earth Summit held in the Hungarian capital Budapest, discussed the possibility of signing an agreement to exchange technical expertise to face water challenges, and ways to enhance Arab cooperation within the framework of the decisions of the Arab Water Council.
Al-Sharjabi affirmed Yemen's keenness to support the Palestinian people in various issues, including water and environmental issues.
For his part, the Palestinian minister reviewed the challenges faced by the Palestinian water sector, which in its entirety result from the Israeli occupation policy aimed at depriving the Palestinian people of their rights to water and for various uses, including drinking water.
