The Permanent Representative of Yemen to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah Al-Saadi, discussed with the Permanent Representative of Norway to the United Nations the political developments, the economic and humanitarian conditions in Yemen and raising the level of coordination and cooperation between the delegations of the two countries during Norway's presidency of the Security Council next January 2022.
During the meeting, Al-Saadi indicated that Yemen represents one of the most important issues on the council's table at present, stressing the importance of the Security Council's role in putting pressure on the Houthi militia to yield to the option of peace and taking decisive measures against the continued escalation of these militias and their brutal attack on Yemeni cities, specifically the governorate of Marib, which is inhabited by more than four million residents, most of whom are displaced.
