Al-Sharjabi, Hungarian Minister discuss cooperation in the fields of water, env. research

Yemen's Minister of Water and Environment, Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, discussed with the Hungarian Minister of Agriculture and Environment ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two countries and the possibility of exchanging experiences in the fields of environmental protection, confronting climate changes and protecting water resources.

The two sides also discussed aspects of joint cooperation in the field of agricultural research, water and environment research, as well as technological and academic exchange between the two countries.

Al-Sharjabi briefed the Hungarian minister on the current situation of the Safer floating oil tanker and the potential environmental disaster in the event of an oil spill or the sinking of the tanker off the coast of Hodeidah in the Red Sea, due to the intransigence of the Houthi coup militia and the failure to allow United Nations experts to reach the ship and assess its condition in preparation for unloading its crude oil cargo.
