Continuous education project discussed

The Supreme National Committee of Education Continuation Project discussed Thursday in its supposed meeting presided over by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wa'id Batheeb a number of topics associated with ongoing implementation of the project.

The meeting discussed offers provided by specialized educational companies, especially in distance education and took necessary measures regarding them.

Batheeb confirmed significance of the project, which is financed by International Partnership Association by USD 11 million, especially under eruption of coronavirus and urgent need to improve electronic education across Yemen and using protective measures to provide secured environment to students.

Investment in field of human capital through education is the most progressed type of investments, said Batheeb, pointing out that corona pandemic made the world to think of finding alternative educational ways using technology intensively.

He confirmed that planning ministry is currently making supporting education with all its forms in top of its priorities and saves no effort to seek general financing to finance developmental projects, reconstruction and searches for additional resources to improve education and improving its quality.
