Chief of Staff General Lieutenant Sagheer bin Aziz discussed Sunday with Pakistani Commander of 11th Corps General Mohammed Saeed, on the sidelines of Manama Conference 2021, Yemeni- Pakistani brotherly relations and means of promoting them.
Bin Aziz pointed out that Yemen has been plagued by terrorist Houthi Iranian militia, which is waging destructive war on Yemeni people, confirming that Yemeni people and its military forces are waging war for the sake of peace and stability in Yemen and the region in general amid Houthi militia's rejection to peace and continuous military escalation.
He praised Pakistani government's position supporting efforts of the government of Yemen for regaining the state and ending Houthi militia's coup, looking forward to more cooperation between the two military institutions and exchanging joint interests.
For his part, the Pakistani general extended a state invitation call to bin Aziz to visit Pakistan, confirming that Yemen and Pakistan are located on one strategic line and the two countries must protect their interests.
Yemen and Pakistan are sharing the same security, religious and political issues and this requires from them to play significant role to solve Yemen's conflict, said Saeed.
He confirmed that Pakistan is following up closely field developments in Yemen and its ready to provide help and support to Yemeni people.
