Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Bin Mubarak met here today, Friday, with GCC Secretary General Dr. Nayef al-Hajraf on the sideline of Manama Dialogue 2021, in its seventieth version.
Bin Mubarak detailed al-Hajraf on the latest developments about political, military and economic situations.
He highlighted Houthi militia ongoing military operations on Marib and its violations and atrocities against the civilians in Hodeidah.
He stated that Houthi militia has continued to insist on fighting, refusing to come to peace, it has taken the advantages of Stockholm agreement to buy time and launching military operations on Marib, Aljawf and Albaidha.
He stated that the government is committed to implement Riyadh Agreement in full, unite all prolitical constituencies and handling economic challenges, underling the need for the GCC member states' support politically and economically.
The GCC Secretary General expressed the GCC's support for the legitimate Yemeni government, Yemen's unity, security, stability and its territorial integrity.
Al-Hajraf also reaffirmed the GCC's support for regional and international efforts to make peace that is based on the three agreed upon peace references, namely the UNSCR 2216.
