Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ahmad Awadh bin Mubarak discussed Tuesday with Egyptian Non- Resident Ambassador to Yemen Ahmad Farooq unique relations between the two countries and means of promoting them.

Bin Mubarak praised support of Egypt to the internationally- recognized government of Yemen in different fields, pointing out to the training course organized by the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for the Sake of Development in cooperation with Diplomatic Studies Institute of Egyptian Foreign Ministry in Cairo for 46 participants from Yemeni foreign ministry's cadre.

He reviewed latest developments in Yemen in the light of efforts exerted by the government to normalize life in liberated areas and efforts for unifying the national front against Houthi militia, which continues its aggression on Marib Province, rejecting all calls for peace receiving directives from Iran amid International Community's failure to put an end to the influx of Iranian weapons to Houthis.

He warned of the militia's dodge to the International Community regarding Safir Oil Tanker issue, confirming importance of putting serious pressure on the militia to stop looming collapse of the tanker, which will result in environmental disaster if the tanker sinks or explodes into the Red Sea water.

For his part, the Egyptian diplomat reconfirmed his country's firm position and support to the government of Yemen and to efforts exerted for realizing inclusive peace in the country.
