Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik ordered authorities charged with controlling corruption to take on aggressively, referring corrupt- individuals and entities to judiciary to be held accountable for their wrongdoings.
He stated that the government has started taking earnest, transparent and responsible measures to control corruption through the monitoring and auditing authorities.
He gave his instructions as he chaired a meeting today in the temporary capital Aden with the organizations in charge of fighting corruption including the Central Organization for Auditing and Controlling (COCA), Public Funds Prosecution and Judiciary System.
Dr. Ma'een urged professional and transparent investigations into cases of corruption.
He directed the COCA to get the revision of all economic units accomplished and refer the outcomes of the revision reports to the authorities in charge.
