Yemen discusses with Netherlands, OCHA, humanitarian priorities

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wa'id Batheeb discussed Wednesday with representatives of Dutch Embassy and Office of Coordinating Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Yemen priorities of projects and needs in humanitarian, service and developmental fields.
The meeting touched upon Dutch support to Yemen in different fields, especially water and sanitation and environment as there is urgent need to support in these fields as well as supporting displaced people in different areas and responding to government's calls for alleviating suffering of people in more needy areas.
Batheeb confirmed strong relations between Yemen and Netherland, stressing coordination with international partners through ministry of planning.
He also confirmed significance of projects of water and sanitation and environment to contribute protecting societies against pandemics, pointing out to significance of European delegation's recent visit to Aden and meeting with Prime Minister and discussing different issues, mainly boosting economy.
For their part, the representatives of Dutch Embassy and OCHA confirmed keenness of continuation of implementing programs and projects to Yemeni people and cooperation and partnership with Yemen.
