RIYADH - SABA
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomed the presidential statement issued by the Security Council, which condemned the attacks of the terrorist Houthi militia on the Kingdom's territory and its civilian facilities.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the issuance of this presidential statement by the Security Council comes as an affirmation of the special importance that the members of the Security Council attach to the Yemen crisis and in recognition of the importance of solving the crisis politically to contain its negative repercussions resulting from the Houthi terrorist militia's rejection of calls for a ceasefire, and the lack of positive engagement in political negotiations that lead to the return of security and stability to Yemen, and do not worsen the humanitarian situation resulting from the continued practices of the Houthi militia in besieging cities and preventing humanitarian aid from reaching Yemeni areas in need.

The Kingdom expressed its thanks and appreciation to the member states of the Security Council for issuing this statement, which came within the framework of its responsibilities to maintain international peace and security, and for what it represents as an important boost to the efforts exerted for the success of the Kingdom’s endeavors, which it expressed in its initiative announced on March 22, 2021 AD to end the Yemen crisis, and it coincides with the efforts made by the Kingdom at the regional and international levels to support reaching a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis.
