Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ahmad Awadh bin Mubarak has warned of the malicious role played by Iran in Yemen and destabilizes the stability and diminishes any chance for reaching a political settlement and inclusive and permanent peace in the country.

In his meeting with the US Envoy for Iran Robert Malley on Wednesday, he made it clear that the Iranian regime is considered prime partner to Houthi militia's war crimes and crimes against humanity in Yemen, particularly in al-Abdiah District in Marib.

He pointed out that the situations in all countries, where Iran has interfered by supporting militias and feeding sectarian tendency, show the sabotage role of Iranian regime for destabilizing the region and confirm that this regime has no real willingness for peaceful coexistence.

Furthermore, it proceeds with its policies of exporting terrorism and chaos in the region.

He confirmed that if the Iranian regime continues its support to Houthi militia with weapons and controls the decision of the militia, the realization of peace in Yemen will continue to be unattainable as the Iranian regime blackmails the world to employee these issues to get political gains.

If the United States and the international community want realize inclusive and just peace in Yemen and protect lives of Yemeni people, who are killed daily by Iranian weapons and technology, they must exert real and serious pressure on Iranian regime to stop military support to Houthi militia, he said.

For his part, the US envoy provided briefing on latest developments of US talks regarding Iranian nuclear issue.

He also confirmed significance of continuation of efforts for ending the war and realizing peace in Yemen, reaffirming his country's position supporting Yemen's unity, security and stability.
