Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik spoke today with the American Envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking about the developments in the Yemeni national arena amid Houthi militia's increasing military escalation and operations on Marib governorate.
In a telephone conversation they discussed topical issues including Houthi militia's military escalations and grave violations against the civilians, particularly the current militiamen attacks against the villagers in al-Abdia District.
Ma'een briefed Lenderking on the government's ongoing efforts to manage economic and humanitarian challenges. He voiced hopes for getting an urgent international support to help the government doing its job effectively , implementing the needed reforms to improve peoples' living conditions.
The Prime Minister highly praised the US administration support for the legitimate Yemeni government and Yemeni people, deeply appreciating Lenderking's efforts intended to push peace.
For his part, the American envoy reiterated his country's support for Yemeni government's action in the temporary capital Aden and for getting Riyadh Agreement implemented in full, as well as for the UN-led efforts to make peace in Yemen.
Lenderking denounced Houthi militia's recurrent ballistic missiles and drones attacks on civilians, residential areas and IDPs in Marib.
