Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Bin Mubabark warned that Houthi militia's ongoing military escalation is seriously risking peace process, further worsening the already catastrophic humanitarian crisis.

While discussing peace process prospects with the US Acting-Ambassador to Yemen Kathy Westely today, he called on the international community to press for peace by mounting pressures upon Houthi militias to stop fighting, earnestly engaging in genuinely and sincerely peace process to end the Yemeni peoples' suffering.

Bin Mubarak detailed the American diplomat on the Houthi militias' ongoing aggressive military operations and atrocities against the civilians in Marib governorate, namely in al-Abdia District where the militiamen have been launching brutal military operations against the unfortunate villagers who are subjected to strangling blockade and vicious military attacks with different heavy weapons.

The American Acting-Ambassador voiced her country's condemnation of the Houthis military operations on Marib. She also reiterated her country's support for the UN-led peace process, affirming the US administration's support for the legitimate government, Yemen's security, unity and stability.
