Report: Up to 2451 crimes by Houthi militiamen in al-Abidia District

Houthi militia's militants have committed 2451 crimes and violations against the villagers of al-Abdia District of Marib governorate from September 23 to October 13, 2021, according to a report by the Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms.

The criminal acts and violations included killing 9 and injuring 123 civilians among them 38 women and 15 children. As many as 400 houses damaged, 182 farms spoiled, 6 water pumps destroyed and more than 320 cars either partially or totally damaged including 6 ambulances.

The report stated that Houthi militiamen have launched aggressive wide-scale crackdown and arbitrary arrest operations against the villagers , 980 people have been detained and enforced disappeared some of them since 2017.

The ongoing chocking blockade imposed by the militiamen has critically affected al-Abidia's people as food, fuels and medicines supplies have been disrupted.

According to the report there are 9827 children suffered malnutrition, out of them 2465 suffered acute malnutrition, 3451 women need healthcare, while 407 persons suffered chronic diseases are denied medication.
