RIYADH-SABA
Head of Shoura Council Ahmad Ubaid bin Daghr discussed Sunday with the UN Envoy to Yemen Hans Grunberg current situation in Yemen and means of reaching just and inclusive peace in the country.
Bin Daghr confirmed that the legitimacy maintains reaching a just and inclusive peace on the bases of the three internationally agreed upon references: the GCC Initiative, the Outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.
He pointed out that using force and targeting civilians, like Houthi militia's today's attack by three ballistic rockets on Rawdha Neighborhood in Marib, will only achieve minor and temporary gains to the militia and only add new complications to reach a peaceful solution to the crisis.
He demanded the international community to use all available means to impose peace on the bases of the three references starting with ceasefire across Yemen, stopping attacks against civilians, releasing prisoners and opening roads before humanitarian assistances.
He expressed hope that the UN envoy adopt inclusive plan focusing on central issues of the bloody conflict in Yemen to protect the republican regime in Yemen and its unity, security and stability.
