Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Mua'mar al-Eryani has said the tyrannical blockade imposed by Houthi militia on al-Abidiah District in Marib, banning its people from food and medicine and sporadic shelling on the people and their houses by different types of weapons are considered war crimes against humanity.

In a statement to Saba on Thursday, al-Eryani made it clear that al-Abidiah surviving district includes 5100 families from hosting community and displaced people coming from different provinces of the country, who fled from terrorism of Houthi militia seeking for a safe shelter.

Currently, they are suffering tragic conditions over years of wars, displacement and continuous military escalation by Houthi militia in Marib, he added.

Al-Eryani demanded the international community, the UN and US and UN envoys and coordinator of humanitarian affairs in Yemen to clearly denounce Houthi militia's escalation and siege on al-Abidiah District.

He called for exerting more pressure on Houthi terrorist militia to stop targeting civilians in the district and opening safe tracks before humanitarian assistances to needy people.
