Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Bin Mubarak stated that Iran-allied Insurgent Houthi militia's coup d'état has proved to be the grass-roots of Yemen's current political, economic and development complicated problems.

He openly blamed Iranian involvement in Yemen's internal affairs for prolonging the war the Yemeni peoples have been struggling with its consequences.

He said " We're gathering here while Yemen has been going through very difficult circumstances due to the war imposed by the putschist Houthi militia upon our people, backed by the Iranian regime' logistical and military support with the aim of destabilizing Yemen and the region, creating sectarian militias to replace national armies, a matter demonstrates that Iran has been part of the problem and not a solution".

Speaking at the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly today he went on saying" Houthi militia's coup on September 21, 2014 against the legitimate government has disrupted the political transitional process, development drive, triggered a devastating war and causing the Yemeni peoples unbearable suffering in all walks of life".

He stated that the Yemeni government has always been seeking for peace to put an end of the Yemeni peoples' suffering.
" We've been very keen to re-establish peace, to this end we've made significant concessions over the past six years, but the Houthi militia has continued to block peace efforts, reject all peace proposals aimed to stop the war, make peace", said Bin Mubarak.

The Foreign Minister cited Yemen's formidable challenges most serious of all the economic hardships that Yemeni people are no longer able to afford.

He blamed Houthi militia for further worsening the Yemeni peoples economic hardships by refusing to come to peace, looting the country's revenues to fund its war against the Yemeni peoples.

He stated that the militiamen devote the gas-cooking profits amount up to $ 3.4 billion per year to finance their war, denying the government's employees their salaries.

Bin Mubarak called for bailing out Yemen's national economy by depositing an amount of foreign currency in the Central Bank of Yemen. He stated that Yemen's national economy has shrunk with more than 50%.

He also urged putting Riyadh Agreement in place in full, mainly articles relating to security and military aspects, so that the government can return to the temporary Aden to do its job effectively.
