Yemen's Minister of Information Muammar al-Eryani said the brief designation of the Houthi militia as a terrorist organization at the end of US former president Trump's tenure was a positive step, and during the designation period, the Houthi ambitions declined and its various military operations stopped.

In a virtual meeting with the Dutch ambassador to Yemen, al-Eryani called on the international community and the European Union to take serious steps to re-designate the militia as a terrorist organization.

He indicated that the directives of His Excellency President Abd Rabbhu Mansour Hadi emphasize support for international efforts to bring and achieve comprehensive, just and sustainable peace in Yemen.

He said that the Yemeni government has made various concessions within the framework of the three references to reach peace and in order to end the war imposed by the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

He said that the Netherlands, through the European Union, is able to play an active role in supporting the peace process in Yemen and reveal the truth about those who refuse to end the war and instead keep maneuvers towards all international peace mediation efforts in orde to achieve Iran's interests and expansionist ambitions in Yemen and the region.

Al-Eryani stressed the importance of the Dutch government's supportive role in various stages, praising the humanitarian support provided by the Dutch government.
