FM discusses with Brazilian official common concerned issues

NEW YORK- SABA
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ahmad Awadh bin Mubarak discussed Monday with Deputy Foreign Minister of Brazil for Multi- Diplomatic Affairs Paulino Franco mutual relations between the two countries and common concerned issues.

Bin Mubarak reviewed latest political, economic and security developments in Yemen and horizons of political solution, international and regional efforts for realizing peace in Yemen, Houthi militia's obstacles and government's support to the new envoy.

He pointed out to internationally recognized government's commitment for realizing inclusive and permanent peace in Yemen on the bases of the three agreed upon references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and Security Council Resolution 2216.

He confirmed that peace, ending Houthi coup and regaining the state are the first priorities of the government, stressing significance of the Security Council's role to denounce Houthi militia's crimes against Yemeni people and continuous attack on Saudi territories.

He also held Houthi militia responsible on potential environmental and economic disaster in Yemen and the region for banning access to the UN technical team to evaluate and examine Safir Oil Tanker and draining the tanker from one million barrel of crude oil.

For his part, the Brazilian official expressed his country solidarity with Yemen and confirmed necessity of abiding by the International Law, pointing out that his country, which will be permanent member in the SC for the next two years, will work on pushing peace process forward and overcoming Yemen's crisis.
