FM contributes to GCC's FMs session in Riyadh

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Awadh bin Mubarak participated today in the joint ministerial meeting of the GCC's Foreign Ministers convened in Riyadh today.

Bin Mubarak provided an informative presentation about the political, humanitarian and economic situations in Yemen, the developments about the peace process, the Yemeni government's vision about the political process and its support for the UN new envoy Hans Grundberg.

He pointed out to theHouthi militia continuous rejection of the peace proposals and efforts by keeping on its military operations on Marib, Shabwa, Albaidh and Abyan, its ballistic missiles and drones attacks on the city of Marib, Mocha seaport, IDPs camps and the civil facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Bin Mubarak reiterated the government's commitment to get Riyadh Agreement implemented in full, highlighting Yemen's urgent need for the GCC's support for the government to do its job in the government-held regions.

The Foreign Minister of Bahrain Dr. Abdullatif Azyani, Head of this round of the GCC's session confirmed the GCC's support for Yemen's security, unity and territorial integrity as well as for the legitimate government's efforts and measures to achieve security and stability all over the republic of Yemen, eliminate the coup, reach comprehensive political settlement.

The Secretary General of the GCC Dr. Nayef al-Hajaraf called on the GCC's member states to stand by Yemen at this critical stage, provide the urgently needed support to help the government to manage economic hardships, development and humanitarian challenges.
