Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Barakani contributed today to the first International Parliamentarian Summit on Fighting Terrorism held in Vienna.
He talked about the terrorism that Houthi militia has been exercising against the Yemeni people, issuing an appeal for lawmakers around the world to help rescuing the lives of the Yemeni MPs.
He said" As we're talking about fighting terrorism, my country has been facing heinous terrorism by Iran-allied Houthi militiamen who have been killing the peoples, destructing life, issuing death verdicts against 46 members of the Yemeni parliament, confiscated their own properties, recruiting children and preventing women from any political or personal rights. Here, I'm launching an appeal for every MP around the world to stand by the side of the Yemeni lawmakers , please do anything to save their lives".
