Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Awadh Bin Mubarak held discussions today with the Chair of the Committee on Foreign Relations in the Swedish Parliament Kenneth G. Forslund and some MPs.
He provided an informative presentation about the situations in Yemen including the peace process developments, prospects of the political settlement, the government's efforts to make peace and obstructions created by Houthi militia which has continued to block regional and international peace efforts and proposals.
Bin Mubarak explained the Yemeni government's efforts aimed to make peace, citing the concessions it has offered to reach political settlement to stop the war, re-establish security and stability.
He blamed the Iranian involvement in the Yemeni conflict for spoiling every effort has been made to end the conflict peacefully.
He touched upon Houthi militia's military aggression on Marib governorate, the militiamen attacks on the IDPs camps using
ballistic missiles and drones.
Bin Mubarak cited Houthi militia's continuous violations against women, recruiting children and engaging them in frontline
battles.
He highly appreciated the Sweden's significant support for humanitarian actions and peace efforts in Yemen.
The Swedish lawmakers confirmed the Sweden Kingdom support for the peace process and efforts to stop the war, make peace. They also voiced their support for Yemen's unity, security and stability.
