RIYADH – SABA
Yemen's Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qassem Beheibeh, discussed with the British Ambassador to the country, Richard Oppenheim, the support and improvement of health services in Yemen.
Beheibeh praised the British support to Yemen in various fields, particularly the health sector, praising the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
Beheibeh indicated that Yemen is facing a third wave of coronavirus pandemic, briefing the British diplomat on the mechanism for the delivery and distribution of vaccines, and on the Houthi denial of vaccines access to the areas under the militia's control.
He pointed to the needs of the health sector in Yemen, which was greatly affected by the coup of the terrorist Houthi militia, especially the needs to confront the new wave of coronavirus.
