Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik stressed that the government's top priority is to alleviate the suffering of the people as a result of the current economic challenges and the decline in the price of the national currency and work to implement the Riyadh Agreement, complete the restoration of the state and end the Iranian-backed Houthi coup.

The Prime Minister, when receiving today the Chargé d'Affairs of the US Embassy in Yemen stressed the need to find an urgent regional and international path to support the government's measures and plans to achieve economic stability and avoid the dangerous consequences of the expansion of the humanitarian catastrophe, expressing confidence in the American friends playing an active role in urging the international community, organizations and donors to urgently support the Yemeni government to carry out its role in the economic and service aspects, and to press towards the completion of the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, and the establishment of peace in Yemen.

The meeting reviewed the mechanisms of joint coordination to mobilize international support for the government to alleviate the human suffering of the Yemeni people and achieve economic, financial and monetary stability.

He also briefed the US diplomat on the national developments in light of the Houthi militia's continued military escalation and rejecting of all political solutions and views on the means that can be used to pressure the Houthi militia and its supporters in Tehran.
