Buhaibeh discusses with US diplomat support to Yemen's health sector

Minister of Public Health and Population Qasem Buhaibeh discussed Sunday with Charge D'Affairs of US Embassy in Yemen Kathy Westly US support to Yemen's health sector via USAID.

Buhaibeh praised US support to Yemen, especially in health field and USAID's support in the same field and the agency's recent 500 thousand doses of anti-coronavirus vaccines and supporting reproductive health sector and maternity and childhood.

He confirmed that the support has a role in promoting health sector in Yemen, hoping continuous support of this service in the future for facing more health challenges.

For her part, the US diplomat confirmed continuation of her country's support to Yemen's health sector, praising remarkable improvement in the sector, which still needs more support.

She also confirmed support of her country to other governmental sectors, expressing hope for holding a meeting for donors on September for providing more support to Yemen.
