Speaker of the Yemeni Parliament Sheikh Sultan Al-Barakani discussed with the Ambassador of China to Yemen Kang Yong, developments on the national arena, the latest developments in various fields, ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and efforts to achieve peace in the country in accordance with the three agreed references.
Al-Barakani praised the depth and strength of the historical relations linking the two friendly countries, and the great contributions made by China to support the Yemeni people in various fields since the 26 September and 14 October revolutions until today as Yemenis defend their future in the face of the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia.
Al-Barakani expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Chinese ambassador to strengthen the relationship between the two friendly countries in various fields, pointing to the Yemeni political leadership's appreciation of all the firm stances made by China in supporting the Yemeni people in all situations.
The Speaker briefed the Chinese diplomat on the economic conditions suffered by the Yemeni people as a result of the continued Houthi coup and war, stressing that the government is working to take comprehensive measures and reforms in the economic field, which will require a Chinese support.
